The Twisted K Ranch Brand
We bought our first property with the vision of it being one of many stepping stones. The house and property is from the early 1800’s and was a part of a much larger farm. The current property line is surrounded by multi-strand barbed wire, which has taken some time to not only remove bad sections, but maintain the good.
The barbed wire has symbolized protection to those before us and we chose to leave parts of it up. At one time, a farmer had put the fence up to protect something that was very valuable, most likely cattle. With this "stepping stone", we wanted to intertwine the meaning of it to our brand, as it has provided us the opportunity to start up Twisted K Ranch, LLC.
The barbed wire symbol suggests a sense of protection and resilience, while the double K represents the initials of the ranch owners, further emphasizing its unique identity as Kevin and Krista both have an equal partnership.
Overall, Twisted K Ranch, LLC embodies a robust and trustworthy image, evoking a sense of tradition and the ruggedness associated with ranch life.
As you may have noticed, only certain horses currently wear our brand. Our brand is a symbol of hard work and careful selection. There is a series of checks a horse must pass before we decide to brand.
